More than 45 years of Art

This is an overview of my work from 1975. I … it in groups with an equal theme. You will find different techniques. Painting (gouache and watercolor); ecoline; linocut; felt tip pens; color and black and white; drawing with ballpoint pen; air brush; crayon; collage and all techniques mixed.

I didn’t think about becoming an artist at all. I drew and created what I liked and what I felt like doing. From 1999, after my education at the Eindhovense School (nowadays Sint Lucas), the entire graphic workfield was added. That was mainly focussed on multimedia. But I also learned a lot of the folio side of it. Some of the works are also in this overview.

After that graphic phase, from 2015, I will again focus mainly on the familiar drawing work. Dot art is my favorite field. Bringing all dots together into a work of art that can be seen. And although the work of recent years has its own place on this website, they are also part of this overview.

Hands

Hands are a favorite object to draw. As you can see, I am left-handed, because I draw my right hand as I watch it.

Comics

I love comics. But it’s not easy to draw them. A character has to look the same from every angle and in every emotional state. But still I created a few. Even with a ball point (a marvelous tool to draw with).
The biggest challenge was to draw a complete comic book “De D-Sprong” from a story from Chris Scheepens in 1992. The first image is one of the pages of it. With the Sagrada Familia in a starring role.

Cars

These cars are created with an air brush (except the ‘Landman poster’). The Batmobile is my favorite.

Sports

Once I did some sky diving and paragliding. The closest you can get to flying. Fantastic!

Paintings

I even tried some painting every now and then. It’s not one of my favorite techniques. But these works I would like to show you.

Doubts & Fears

We all have our doubts and fears from time to time. It inspired me to create these pieces of art.

Buildings

Buildings can impress me with their majestic appearance.
